About the opportunity.

A training course equipping youth workers and group leaders with practical tools, methods, and confidence to apply inclusion and diversity principles in real youth work settings.

Objectives of the training course

  • Strengthen understanding of inclusion and diversity within the Erasmus+ framework.
  • Recognise visible and invisible barriers affecting young people with fewer opportunities.
  • Develop practical skills for safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environments.
  • Reflect critically on unconscious bias and stereotypes in youth work.
  • Design and adapt inclusive non-formal education activities for local contexts.

How the project was implemented

The course used non-formal learning, peer exchange, and hands-on practice.

  • Workshops on inclusion, diversity, barriers to participation, and Erasmus+ inclusion priorities.
  • Practical tools for outreach, trust-building, communication, and adapting activities.
  • Group work, reflection, and exchange of good practices among youth workers.
  • Attention to health-related obstacles, disabilities, rural isolation, cultural differences, and discrimination.

  • Youth workers and group leaders aged 18 or over with good English.
  • People directly involved in a youth organization or regular youth activities.
  • Participants interested in inclusion, diversity, and non-formal learning.
  • People motivated to share the learning with their organization and community.

Practical information

  • Accommodation and food were provided.
  • Travel costs were reimbursed up to the applicable country limit.
  • The green-travel limit applied only to eligible sustainable transport without flying.

Participant type: Youth workers and group leaders

Youth workers and group leaders aged 18 or over, with good English, active involvement in youth work, and motivation to share the learning locally.

Travel reimbursement: Up to €309 from Türkiye, or up to €417 for eligible green travel.

Accommodation and food: Accommodation and food were provided during the training course.
