Objectives of the training course
- Equip youth workers and youth leaders with practical film-based methods for inclusion-focused youth work.
- Strengthen film as a non-formal education tool for inclusion, emotional expression, empathy, and mental well-being.
- Place inclusion, participation, and mental health at the centre of practice through accessible audiovisual tools.
- Build a network of multipliers able to transfer film-education methods to local youth work.
How the project was implemented
The course combined non-formal learning with hands-on film practice.
- Animation, pixelation, optical toys, and basic storytelling activities.
- Film viewing and guided discussion methods.
- Using stories and shared experiences to approach sensitive topics indirectly.

- Youth workers and youth leaders aged 18 or over with good English.
- People already involved in youth work and able to commit to every session.
- Participants willing to run a local workshop after returning.
Practical information
- Accommodation and food were provided during the training course.
- Travel costs were reimbursed up to the applicable country limit.
- The green-travel limit applied only to eligible sustainable travel without flying.
